John Hatheway sauntered to school lazily. It was mid-autumn however the temperature seemed that of late spring or early summer. The cloudy sky matched the towering, gray skyscrapers that watched over him as he walked upon the cement path to school. His only companions on this journey were the daily commuters walking to their offices and assorted errands in the city. Not much could be said of the fellow weary travelers. Their black and gray suits meshed together as they crowded every street corner, like an ocean of dust. Their movements were slow, and their eyes were glazed over, thinking only of completing the tasks that have been set before

Once Sken had finally let go of him and Sam, Danny looked around. The academy’s hallways seemed fairly normal, however there were no doors. White rectangles, roughly the size of doors, were scattered in seemingly random places. On the walls, the floor, the ceiling, there were even some floating in midair. Each box had a number etched into the outline; Danny assumed that these were the classroom numbers so that students could find their classes. Sken pointed to a box to their left, “There, that’s the Student Registration. Just ghost through and talk to the woman behind the desk, she’ll get your signed up, alright?” S
